A crack of hell

While walking down The Road
I see people
falling through a crack
in the sidewalk
into Hell

Unaware of their falling
and unaware of their lack of faith
Eaten by the Earth
Sucked into fire and thunder
Chained for eternity
Isolated and crowded
dripping hot sweat

Stepping over the crack
Stepping over Hell
onto the safe side-Earth
In the process
I walked past paradise

By avoiding Hell
I missed Heaven
Now, bound to Earth
I long for Hell
